    Import Export Licence

An Import Export (IEC) Code is a 10-digit number issued to a person who does import or export of goods and services from abroad to avail several benefits from Export development Council or Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). This code is issued by DGFT (Director General of Foreign trade) which is under Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India. IE Code has a validity of lifetime hence there will be no issues in updating or renewal of IE Code registration.

    Benefits

    Streamlined Business Expansion:

IEC serves as a gateway for businesses to venture into the global market, facilitating the introduction of products and services on an international scale.

    Access to Diverse Benefits:

Companies with IEC registration gain access to a myriad of benefits for their imports and exports. These advantages come from entities like DGFT, Export Promotion Council, Customs, etc., leveraging the potential of their IEC registration.

    No Return Filing Hassles:

IEC eliminates the need for tedious return filing processes. Once acquired, its validity is sustained without the requirement for ongoing filings. Additionally, export transactions are exempt from submitting returns to DGFT.

    Effortless Acquisition Process:

Obtaining an IEC code from DGFT is a straightforward procedure, typically taking 10 to 15 days from the submission of the application. No evidence of export or import is demanded during the application process, making it a hassle-free experience.

    No Renewal Necessary:

An IEC code remains effective throughout the entire existence of an entity and does not demand renewal. Once secured, it effortlessly serves the entity across all import and export transactions.
